The Maryland-National Capital Homecare Association (MNCHA) is the only trade association for the home care sector in Maryland. It represents both non-profit and for-profit health care in Maryland and DC including:

  • Medicare-certified home health agencies,
  • Private duty agencies and registries,
  • Home medical equipment businesses, and related businesses that provide services to providers listed above, and
  • Individuals with a vested interest in the homecare community.

ICD-10 Implementation Postponed to 2015

ICD-10 has been postponed to October 2015. As a result, MNCHA's ICD-10 trainings are being adjusted. Our April 2014 training is being moved to November 2014. Our June 2014 training is being moved to Spring 2015. Check the event list for updated information and registration: www.mncha.org/event-list.

MNCHA's Pharmacy Licensure Exclusion Bill for DME is in the General Assembly!

MNCHA's bill to end the pharmacy licensure requirement for DME providers is now in the General Assembly. Senate Bill 852 and House Bill 1029 are available on our Legislative Action Page. Contact your legislators TODAY to support these two bills!

Funding cuts will impact home-health care

Home-health providers are bracing for millions in additional reimbursement cuts from Medicare. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on June 27 issued a proposed rule to decrease payments to home-health agencies for 2014 by 1.5 percent or $290 million.
